TITANIUM #BOTB RESULTS

WELCOME BACK TO BOTB!
It’s time to announce the results of the May 1st showdown.

This battle featured duelling contestants on talent shows.

I thought this contest would be fairly close, and boy, was I ever wrong! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Turns out, with the exception of one "lesser of two evils" vote, all of your preferred Madilyn Bailey's version. As for me, I loved Asher's highly emotional performance, but concur that Madilyn did a great job as well.

OOWATANITE #BOTB RESULTS

WELCOME BACK TO BOTB!
It’s time to announce the results of the April 1st showdown.

This battle featured duelling rock bands and a battle of the sexes:
Canadian males vs South African females!

I thought this contest would be fairly close and it was! The turnout was a little sparse and two BOTB participants didn't vote at all (wassup with that? ๐Ÿค”), which might have made a difference. Anyway, thanks to all who did take the time to play. ๐ŸŒน

It was a dead heat, and I chose the heavier sound of The Dirty Nil to break the tie.

VEHICLE #BOTB RESULTS

WELCOME BACK TO BOTB!
It’s time to announce the results of the March 1st showdown.

This battle featured an American Idol alum vs an American-Italian soul singer.

At first it appeared to be a close battle, but then Bo, with help from Richie Sambora, took a strong lead. For me, it was a tough decision. I've been a fan of Wess' since the 1960s, when I lived in Europe. And Bo was my choice to win American Idol. In the end, the slighter slower tempo and Richie's guitar riffs gave Bo the edge.

THIS WILL BE OUR YEAR #BOTB

WELCOME TO THE FIRST BOTB OF 2024!

Featuring a battle between rock and indie pop bands.

HISTORY

"This Will Be Our Year" is the ninth track from the acclaimed album “Odessey and Oracle" by English rock band The Zombies, released in 1968. It was also released as a single in the US.

More than most other songs, “This Will Be Our Year” leans heavily on the strength of its refrain. It’s one thing to say, “This will be our year.” It’s the second part of the line that gives the first so much weight: “took a long time to come.”

Is it any wonder that this song has become a favorite, not just for people getting set to celebrate a new year, but also for those getting set to embark upon a new life as a married couple?
