    I don't believe that the trouble was with the Michael Feinstein rendition; I rather enjoyed it. I think the problem was that the Matt Dusk version was so much like the justifiably famous (classic) Andy Williams recording (even Matt's phrasing seemed borrowed from Andy), that it was almost like pitting Michael against Andy. I suspect that had you done so, the resulting blowout (11-1) would have been the same. Now, Michael against someone else who noticeably deviated from the style of the Williams classic would likely have had a very different outcome.

    Nevertheless, it was really nice to hear both of these recordings at this time of year. I enjoyed your Battle; I ain't got no complaints at all. And I wish you & yours a very Happy Holiday!

    WOW! I didn't see this comin', either. Unfortunately, it happens, though. I think Stephen is right about why everyone went with the winner. Thanks for sharing the outcome. Enjoy this beautiful season. Hopefully, the snow isn't keeping you indoors too much so that you can't or don't want to get out to take in the festive decorations.
