IN THE SUMMERTIME #BOTB RESULTS

WELCOME BACK TO BOTB! 
It’s time to announce the results of the Aug. 1st showdown.


This battle featured two female YouTube stars, covering an iconic summer anthem.
Bluesy vs Breezy!

This one went back and forth for a while, but a clear winner soon emerged. I agreed with the majority and chose the bluesy, sexy voice of Sarah Kuri!

Here’s how it went down:

    It was still pretty close, but the renditions were fairly similar so it's not too much of a surprise.

      I was expecting more of a neck and neck battle and was a little surprised at the bigger gap. Oh well, better than a blowout or a shutout. ☺

    DEBBIE ~

    This was a blowout, but not a major one. (I always consider a 5-vote differential to be the *starting point* of a "blowout".) And it was a good Battle. I went back and watched / listened to Sarah's rendition two or three more times. I rarely ever do anything like that, so it's definitely sayin' sumpin'.

      Well, I suppose it might qualify as a minor blowout. I was surprised the results weren't closer, but so it goes. Sarah is pretty amazing and I'm glad I found her!

    There's something to like about both artist but in this battle the votes were decisively stacked in favor for Sarah. Thanks for reporting how things fell in this round. September is just around the corner. That's when my next one is set, too. ;)

      I was a bit surprised at the results, as I thought these two were a good match. Sarah has the richer voice, I think, and I'm glad I found her. Time is passing much too quickly! Hard to believe it's the middle of August already.
