Time to announce the results of the Nov. 1st showdown.
BATTLE OF THE BANDS (BOTB), hosted by StMcC Presents Battle of the Bands is where you listen to different recordings of the same song and vote for the one you like best. Two “Battles” per month, on the 1st and 15th. Votes will be tallied and posted the following week.

Seems like a sparser turnout for this battle, which is a bit disappointing. That said, I haven’t been able to respond to comments in a timely manner. Apologies for the late replies. Trying to catch up now.
For awhile there, it actually looked like Devil’s Train had a chance of winning. Pretty cool for a hard rock/metal band! Stephen said they were BOLD and CONFIDENT (among other things) and Robin surprised herself by choosing them as well because they met the “Go Big or Go Home” criteria. More of you preferred Lenny’s version, however. Here’s how it played out:

It won’t matter which artist I choose, but for the record, my vote goes to Devil’s Train. I’m a huge Guess Who fan and never cared for Lenny’s version all that much. Devil’s Train, on the other hand, was totally BAD ASS! So, at least it was close.

I love the close battles. Certainly more entertaining than blow-aways’s.
I am not a fan of the Lenny Kravitz version but I didn’t like the other one. In the end, I will always listen to The Guess Who

Was a great battle, and I was introduced to a new band. That’s what I call a win in my book!
The outcome for the battles are always interesting, close or not.

Hope all is well in California. Your battle was a good one with a close outcome. I liked the Devil’s Train song you posted here.
You know what a huge fan of the Guess Who I am so no one can really compare to them but both contenders in your battle did an excellent job.
I’m on the road heading to NC and aren’t going to get my battle results up for a few days probably… I’m also missing the QOTM.
