Welcome back! It’s time to announce results for the April 15th BOTB post

BATTLE OF THE BANDS (BOTB), hosted by Far Away Series and StMcC Presents Battle of the Bands. is where you listen to different recordings of the same song and vote for the one you like best. Two “Battles” per month, on the 1st and 15th. Votes will be tallied and posted the following week.

This one pitted Swedish glam metal band. The Poodles
against British pre-new wave band, The Fabulous Poodles, using two different songs.

Skimpy turnout for this battle, no doubt due to the ongoing A to Z Challenge. It was also fairly one-sided, with most of you choosing The Fabulous Poodles. While I enjoyed their song “Pinball Pinup” too, the Poodles from Sweden were more to my liking, but that still only gave them 4 votes. Oh well!

This band was on the verge of making it big, then fizzled, due to lack of record company support and burnout. Here’s a live performance featuring a song that got extensive airplay at one time:
